Exponential Growth + A Great Workplace Culture: A Winning Combination

Exponential Growth + A Great Workplace Culture: A Winning Combination

We think it’s safe to say that a great workplace culture has a positive effect on company growth and vice versa — the proof is in the pudding! Our proof comes in the form of a string of award wins on both fronts (culture and growth), which speaks volumes about our incredible team and the importance of our work.

Maven Wave has been in the habit of earning several awards every year (take a look at them here), and we’re working hard to surpass our unprecedented 2017 award-related success by the end of this year.

Over the past few weeks, we’ve been named one of the 2018 Best Workplaces in Chicago by Great Place to Work® and FORTUNE, included in Crain’s Fast 50 for the fifth straight year and named one of “Chicago’s Best and Brightest Companies to Work For” for the fifth consecutive year.

2018 Best Workplaces in Chicago

Maven Wave’s collaborative, inclusive and close-knit culture allows us to hire and retain the best and brightest talent, and this designation celebrates that success. We took the #21 spot on the Small and Medium Companies list for this year’s Best Workplaces in Chicago by Great Place to Work and FORTUNE. The ranking, based on employees’ experiences, considered more than 11,000 employee surveys from companies across the Windy City. Great Place to Work, a research and consulting firm, evaluated more than 50 elements of team members’ experience on the job, including employees’ pride in their organizations’ community impact, belief that their work makes a difference, and feeling their work has special meaning.

Jeff Lee, Partner and Co-Founder, had this to say about the win: “Our talent is unmistakably the beating heart in this rapidly growing company. At Maven Wave, we foster a culture of exceptionally strong individuals who push their learning limits every day while working on our clients’ most critical and advanced technology initiatives.”

Crain’s Fast 50

For the fifth consecutive year, Maven Wave made Crain’s Fast 50, a ranking of the 50 local businesses with the highest five-year revenue growth rates. Our five-year rate came to 312% for the period evaluated by Crain’s, reaching $50 million for 2017, with an anticipated jump to $80 million by the end of this year.

According to this list, Maven Wave is the 42nd fastest growing company in Chicago.

Our growth has been fueled by four key factors:

  • The rapid adoption of cloud computing by the world’s largest corporations
  • The strategic use of big data across the whole value chain
  • The unique insight gained from sophisticated machine learning models
  • The company’s deep relationship with Google and other partners

Best and Brightest Companies to Work For

Last but not least, the National Association for Business Resources (NABR) honored Maven Wave as one of “Chicago’s Best and Brightest Companies to Work For” for the fifth straight year. This distinction is reserved for the companies with the most innovative and thoughtful human resources approach.

We handpick our team for their skills, personality and broad expertise. Our combination of traditional management consulting and innovative technology development fosters a unique culture that allows our consultants to make a significant impact on the business outcomes of our clients and our firm.
