It’s hard to believe that Q1 2019 has come and gone – mainly because we’ve kept ourselves busy over here at the Maven Wave HQ. As we get ready to jump into Q2, with a brand new website to boot, here’s a quick round-up of where we’re headed over the next few months.
Google Cloud Next ‘19 – April 9-11
We kick off this quarter with quite inarguably our biggest splash of the year: Google Cloud Next ‘19! This year, Maven Wave is hosting 17 booth sessions (at Booth #S1133) covering various topics in Apps & Data, Collaboration, and Infrastructure; as well as participating in 4 main stage sessions:
- Uncovering Clinical Insights From Unstructured EMR Data to Improve Patient Outcomes
- Opening the Doors to ML: How AAA Leverages BQML and Google Sheets to Predict Call Volume
- Verizon – Collaboration & Mobility in a SaaS World
- Northern Trust – Breaking the Mold to Become a Digital, Data-Driven Leader
What can we expect from this year’s event? Last year, we found Next ‘18 to be a whirlwind of powerful insights and exciting new releases. We heard the latest on artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning, security and containers, as well as a flurry of enterprise-focused launches. This year, we expect to hear about the latest cloud innovations from Google’s front line and accomplish our personal goal of showing you what’s possible in the cloud. Keep an eye on the insights section of our site during the event for the latest from the show!
If you’re attending the event, make sure to stop by Booth #S1133 to meet our experts, and use the hashtag #YouCouldInTheCloud to interact with us on social media.
CDM – CIO Digital Transformation – May 6-8
From our personal experience, we fully expect the excitement of Google Next to carry us all the way through to May. But once May arrives, our team is back on the event rush! Up first will be the CIO Digital Transformation Summit in Atlanta, GA. The event, hosted by CDM Media, features an impressive lineup of speakers covering topics such as virtual reality, cloud security, leveraging AI, digital twins, and of course, various topics relating to digital transformation.
Forrester’s Digital Transformation & Innovation Summit – May 14-15
Speaking of digital transformation, on May 14-15, we’ll be staying local in Chicago to attend The Digital Transformation & Innovation Summit 2019.
According to Forrester, “At this year’s Digital Transformation & Innovation Forum, our speakers and analysts will give guidance on how to be surgical and intentional to achieve success on your path forward.”
The ongoing theme of this event will be to showcase how to have a more strategic and unique approach to your digital transformation journey, as opposed to the thinking that digital transformation has one standardized formula that will automatically propel your company past your competitors.
This topic is one we are particularly excited to be speaking about. In fact, our experts will be speaking at a VIP luncheon on May 15 on securing PII in the cloud. Secure your seat now!
CIO Orbie Awards – May 17
To round out a busy month of May, we’ll stay local to attend the Chicago CIO of the Year Orbie Awards. The Orbie Awards, now in their 20th year, “have recognized technology executives for leadership, innovation and excellence in this rapidly growing, CIO-led national professional association.”
The 2019 Keynote speaker of the event will be Dr. Tom Leighton, who is set to share his experiences as CEO of Akamai, and the journey his company has taken as it “evolved from a Content Delivery Network (CDN), into one of the most essential and trusted cloud delivery and cybersecurity platforms, upon which many of the world’s best brands and enterprises build and secure their digital experiences.”
We look forward to seeing which executives from CIO Chicago’s impressive list of 2019 finalists will be awarded with such a prestigious and city-backed honor.
Health Impact East – June 12-13
As we move into summer, we’ll get a little more vertical-specific by attending Health Impact East on June 12-13. The event, being held at the Google Offices in NYC, will shine the light on digital transformation in the healthcare space. This year, HealthIMPACT emphasizes that it is not just another tech conference, but rather a knowledge-sharing networking event and an opportunity to bring a humanized approach to technology in the healthcare system.
We look forward to hearing from keynote speakers as they discuss topics ranging from life-changing lessons from first-hand experience, health data exchange systems, cybersecurity, HIT architecture, virtual hospitals, and more.
IRCE 2019 – June 25-28
To cap off Q2, we’ll be sticking with that vertical-specific trend, but this time in retail. This coming June, we’ll be heading down to the Chicago South Loop for IRCE 2019 at the McCormick Place at the end of the month.
This retail conference will bring together an abundance of e-commerce leaders and tech executives to discuss upcoming trends to better the e-commerce customer experience. The event will include over 600 vendors in the exhibit hall, 130 sessions covering various topics and trends, and in-depth workshops that will result in actionable takeaways on how your e-commerce business should evolve in the digital world.
