There’s no denying it – the sun is setting a tad earlier each day, the kids are headed back to school, and the Chicago Bears have taken the [Soldier] field – summer is winding down. This summer was an exciting time for Maven Wave, as we made a big splash at our Q2 events, secured several awards, celebrated our successes with various team outings, and even hosted a Google Cloud Summit after-party on the largest rooftop bar in the world, with over 200 guests.
But with the change of season and the soon-to-be dropping temperatures, our Mavens are ready to gear up for a jam-packed fall event schedule, starting local, with DevOps Days Chicago on August 27-28. Joining Google Cloud as a Gold Sponsor, Maven Wave is excited to be a first-time participant at DevOps Days Chicago, an event that “brings development, operations, QA, InfoSec, management, and leadership together to discuss the culture and tools to make better organizations and products.”
The event is sure to bring together the most innovative minds of our tech-driven ecosystem. We’re most excited for the 5 minute “ignite-talks” format (lightning-talks), where we expect to be able to cut through the noise and define clear, concise action items for where the industry is headed.
Next up, we’ll be heading down south to Florida for the Digital Innovation Insight Summit on September 9-11 to discuss the most pressing challenges and opportunities in the fast-moving innovation sector. “Amongst other things, the summit will be discussing: How-to masterclass – Scaling innovation beyond the lab; Thought leadership – from legacy to leading edge: becoming innovation-ready; and Understanding the Augmented Reality ecosystem and how to deliver real value to your business through AR today and for the future.”
It will be especially interesting for Maven Wave to collaborate and listen in on the case studies that are being presented and disrupting the status-quo within large enterprises.
It’s no secret that retail has been top of mind for us here at Maven Wave. In fact, in our Google Cloud Summit recap, we discuss how it was one of the top focuses from the event earlier this year. That’s why we’re expanding our retail event reach this Fall at Grocery Shop, being held September 15-18 in Las Vegas.
We’re excited to join both established and startup CPG brands, supermarkets, c-stores, drug stores, discount stores, e-commerce players, warehouse clubs, grocerants and non-traditional grocery retailers to collaborate on the disruptive new trends, technologies and business models they must now embrace to win in a rapidly changing industry. If you plan to attend the event, find our team at Booth 829 to meet the Maven Wave team and learn about our Google Maps solutions.
Speaking of the Google Cloud Summit, we’re eager to be following up our Chicago presence with a strong statement in Seattle as a Signature Sponsor on September 17th, and then again as a Velocity Sponsor in Atlanta on October 2nd.
During the Chicago event this past July, our key takeaways were:
- It’s time to assimilate IT value to business value, or to “play for the cause, not just for the score.”
- Google’s vision helps IT departments around the globe deliver value for the organization as a whole.
We expect to see these themes play out further in addition to location-driven issues that may be plaguing the pacific northwest at Google Cloud Summit Seattle and the southeast at Google Cloud Summit Atlanta,
Can’t get enough of Google’s latest themes? Neither can we. And you can’t talk about Google Cloud right now without mentioning Anthos. That’s why we’ll be headed to NYC on September 16th for Anthos Day New York. We’re excited to be sponsoring this exclusive look at the new, innovative product. As a Premier Partner, we’re looking forward to gaining a deeper understanding of how Anthos enables true hybrid cloud, making it possible to develop, build, and deploy across any on-premise, public or private cloud environments.
When it comes to CDM’s CIO Summits, Maven Wave is no stranger. We’ll be rounding out a busy September at the CIO Summit in Boston on September 19. The summit will touch on “how the role of the CIO is more important than ever as financial turmoil continues to alter the world’s economy, making it difficult to put their organization in a position to achieve success. The business goals have changed and CIOs are now tasked with trying to find emerging opportunities to drive value throughout the enterprise.”
Speaking of CIOs, tough financial decisions on the horizon, and the current state of our economy, let’s talk money. On October 27-30, we’ll be attending Money 20/20 in Las Vegas. “Money20/20 is the doorway to the epicenter of the Payments, Banking, Fintech and Financial Services ecosystem. As the home of the Money Revolution we unite captains of industry, dreamers, trailblazers, innovative thinkers and fearless leaders that hold the keys to fundamental changes in the way the world uses, spends, borrows and moves money.“
As we move into November, our key verticals will stay top-of-mind as we attend CHIME19 Fall Forum on November 3-6 in Phoenix and the Global Financial Leadership Conference in Naples on November 18-20, a conference that will bring together today’s financial, economic and geopolitical leaders to deliver insight for tomorrow.
For the healthcare industry, we know a seamless and positive patient experience is necessary. While investing in patient engagement improves satisfaction, it also offers real benefits to providers. Enhanced patient experiences drive better outcomes, spending efficiency, and improved safety measures. If you’re attending the CHIME19 Fall Forum, you’ll have an exclusive opportunity to hear from Maven Wave’s Senior Principal, Healthcare Practice Patrick Crotty, who will lead to focus group on patient experience discussing how Maven Wave and Google Cloud are leading change and innovation with technology for large healthcare organizations.
Last, but certainly not least, “join” us at JOIN 2019! Maven Wave is a proud Silver Sponsor of Join’s “The Convergence of Data People” conference being held on November 5-7 in San Francisco.“ JOIN offers a truly unique opportunity to explore the latest in practical data skills, chat with peers, engage with fellow data enthusiasts, and mingle with leaders in the data-driven community.“
