Maven Wave was founded in 2008 on the idea that value enhancing business change requires the right blend of problem-solving skills including industry insight, management experience, and technical excellence. While the techniques and tools would certainly change, applying this core set of problem solving skills to the right problems at the right time, Maven Wave could assist clients in achieving the success they seek. This core value proposition received immediate market attention as Maven Wave signed its first client simultaneously with the company’s founding.


By 2009, Maven Wave expanded to serve the financial services industry, and in particular, the unique needs of participants in financial markets, including asset management firms, broker-dealers, investment banks, exchanges, and proprietary trading operations. In this space, Maven Wave’s problem solving approach and blend of skills translates into faster time to market, deeper insight into risk and value, and higher operational efficiency.


With the growing capacity of cloud computing environments, and the extraordinary connectivity, collaboration, and cost advantage they provide, Maven Wave aggressively entered the cloud market by becoming a Google enterprise partner in 2010. The same blend of problem solving skills upon which Maven Wave was founded are central to taking advantage of the Google’s cloud offering, so Maven Wave found early success in this market.


In 2011, the company begins serving Life Science clients where the scientific process of collecting, analyzing, and reporting sophisticated experimental data in the pursuit of healthcare advancement requires the same confluence of skills at the center of Maven Wave’s growing value proposition. Through our expanding work with financial markets clients, and our burgeoning relationship with Google, Maven Wave sees increased interest in moving applications into the cloud. In response, Maven Wave acquires Triton-Tek, a leading developer of internet, mobile, and collaborative solutions and immediately integrates these skills into Maven Wave solutions.


With the continued “consumerization” of IT, Maven sees growing demand from enterprise customers for consumer-like experiences that are social, mobile, and collaborative. To help meet this need, Maven Wave acquires the team at Biersma Creative, a Chicago-based provider of transformational branding, design, and marketing services at the end of 2012. The addition of these services enables Maven Wave to better deliver the type of experience that enterprise clients have come to expect, on any device.


Google recognizes Maven Wave as its North Central Region Partner of the Year for our work delivering client success in the cloud. During this year, Maven also releases two cloud enabled software services based on Google’s cloud, including a machine-to-machine (M2M) framework targeted at enterprise clients interested in accessing the “Internet of Things,” and a video streaming solution that allows enterprise clients to provide a secure, private video streaming services to its clients and employees. Maven Wave is also named to the Inc 500/5000 list for rapid growth.


Maven Wave will maintain the same direction, discipline, and focus that have led to our success to date. Our commitment to the core problem solving disciplines that were central to our founding in 2008, prove their value again and again both in weak markets and in strong ones. In 2014, Maven Wave was named the Google Enterprise Innovation Partner of the Year, earned the #6 spot on the Crain’s Fast Fifty list of growing companies in Chicago, and the company was named a National Best and Brightest Company to Work For.


In 2015, Maven Wave expanded our service offerings into the big data analytics space and focused on an agile-based approach to product management. Maven Wave was recognized by our industry for rapid growth (#6 on the Crain’s Fast Fifty and #11 Fastest Growing Firm according to Consulting magazine), being a great place to work (National Best and Brightest Company for the 2nd year in a row), and for our ability to transform our clients businesses (Named a Top IT Services Firm in Chicago). Our success to date has been driven by our ability to deliver solutions that capitalize on the evolution of technology trends to foster innovation that helps our clients business grow.


2016 was Maven Wave’s biggest growth year to date. The company expanded our partnership with Google Cloud by becoming a Google Maps Premier Partner, doubled the size of our offshore team, and closed record deal sizes in the G Suite space. This growth was recognized publicly by Consulting Magazine, who named Maven Wave the 37th fastest growing consulting firm in North America. Maven Wave also made the Crain’s list of the 50 fastest growing companies in Chicago (#25) and the Best & Brightest Companies to Work For, both for the 3rd year in a row.
